Teen Thoughts 101: “For Every Child”

We’re never too old for picture books. No matter if you are a teen, a mother, or a grandmother. “For Every Child” is a book about the rights of each and every child in the world. This book is put together by UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund). 


Reading this book made me realise how fortunate I am to have a home, and a family that loves and cares about me. The foreword, written by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, made me open my eyes to the reality of the world; not all children have the blessing to have a home, or parents of their own, or even people that care about them. The foreword mentioned that some children are surrounded by blood, and violence. According to warsintheworld.com, 24 countries in Africa are at war at the moment.
